Vitiligo skin disorder with white patches on the skin





Vitiligo is a skin disorder, causing white patches on skin. The symptoms of the disease are white patches, changing coloration of hairs because of vitiligo attacks on hair follicles. The disease can be appeared on both male & female genders, with no age, race bar. It affects almost 40 to 50 million people of all around, which makes 1 to 2 percent. People lives in country like USA, Australia and Canada, India, Singapore, Pakistan known as the world’s leading nations can also suffer with the same Vitiligo skin disorder disease.

The cause of the disease is the loss of melanin cells in skin, which act as sunscreen and protect a person from UV rays. Another cause of vitiligo is auto-immunity, which refers to the improper function of immune cells in body. The function of immune cells is to protect our body from the bacterial germs that a person acquires on daily basis from the surroundings. Immune system special cells T-cells while fighting  or attacking with germs give person protection but if immune system cells starts fighting with each other instead of germs or start freely moving anywhere in the body, then it is refer as auto-immune system which can leads vitiligo. The other causes of vitiligo are heredity, stress, dietery insufficiency, physical injuries, sun exposure, thyroxine deficiency, medication affects etc.

The cure of vitiligo is yet impossible and the purposes of treatment are the reproduction of pigment cells again in the skin. Vitiligo treatments includes Photochemotherapy, homeopathic treatment, oral psoralen therapy, topical vitiligo applications, PUVA treatment, topical psoralen therapy etc.
